PROBLEMATIKA SISWA KELAS 1 ALIYAH DARI LATAR BELAKANG PENDIDIKAN UMUM DALAM BELAJAR BAHASA ARAB DI PONDOK PESANTREN MODERN DAARUSSALAAM DEPOK 2015

Abstract

This paper is the result of research on the various problems that occur among students who graduate or have backgrounds from junior high schools who continue their upper secondary education to Islamic boarding schools, as well as various solutions that play a role in improving learning in the foreign language learning process, especially Arabic. With students' diverse school backgrounds, their levels of speed or responsiveness in the language learning process also vary. This study was written with the aim of examining the problems experienced by students in the process of learning Arabic in the Islamic boarding school environment. The research used a qualitative-descriptive method, where researchers observed directly based on three years of experience and intensive interviews with the students concerned. The research was conducted on a small social scale among first grade high school students. Data collection methods include researcher experience and interview guidelines. The data source comes from students who graduated from the Daarussalaam Modern Islamic Boarding School, Depok as research objects. The results of the research show that the variety of different educational backgrounds is a very influential factor in improving students' abilities and there are also various solutions from various Islamic boarding school parties and from the students themselves in the development of the students' Arabic language learning process. Students have many parties involved and have quite a big influence on the language improvement process, such as the environment of students who speak the language, the Islamic boarding school education curriculum, teachers' teaching methods and students' learning methods. Learning Arabic is not enough if you only learn the theory, daily practice and an adequate Arabic language environment are a big supports for students.
