METODE AUDIOLINGUAL DAN PENERAPANNYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB DI TINGKAT SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Arabic learning can’t be separated from the usage of learning method. Learning method is a
way of achieving effective learning formulated by teacher. Learning method is used to optimally
implement the plans that have been formulated. A teacher must develop and formulate learning
objectives in order to determine and choose the right teaching method. One of the teaching
methods that is very popular and often used in teaching foreign language is Audiolingual
method. This method combines listening and speaking skills in language learning. This paper
will discuss the application of the Audiolingual method in Arabic learning for elementary level
students at SDIT Darul Hikmah school. This study aims to describe the application of the
Audiolingual method in Arabic learning, steps of material presenting, learning techniques using
the Audiolingual method, and the stages of learning carried out by the teacher in using the
Audiolingual method. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This study uses
Effendy's theory in explaining the characteristics and steps of presenting the Audiolingual
method in language learning as the basis of the research results. The data of this research are
first grade students at SDIT Darul Hikmah. Data collection is carried out by means of
interviews, observations, and data analysis. Based on the results of observations, it is found that
the teacher use the Audiolingual method in teaching Arabic to first grade students. The results
show that the application of the Audiolingual method in Arabic learning in first grade students
has been carried out well, and the stages of learning using the Audiolingual method are applied
effectively. orderly and in harmony with Effendy's theory.
