Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that we are currently experiencing has disrupted the
conventional learning process so that solutions are needed to respond to these problems.
Online learning is one alternative that can overcome these problems. Online learning is
certainly inseparable from electronic devices such as cellphones or laptops. The development
of extraordinary electronic devices in society must have positive and negative impacts. Various
kinds of features and social media that exist on mobile phones or laptops that make electronic
devices so very important, especially in this 4.0 era. The education system at this time almost
all uses online learning media, either through video conferencing using platforms or
supporting applications or by utilizing social media itself. The process of learning Arabic at
every learning institution in the current digital era has used social media. Instagram is one of
the social media that is widely used in learning Arabic. This qualitative analysis study aims to
determine the quality of @hayfa.academy's Instagram video content in learning Arabic online.
The data was extracted through documentation techniques, and analyzed through the stages of
data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. To see the quality
of Instagram content, researchers used indicators consisting of aspects of content feasibility,
presentation feasibility, language feasibility, and design feasibility. The results showed that the
quality of the videos on Instagram @hayfa.academy was diverse, there were all of them that
met the assessment criteria, almost met and some did not meet the criteria. The implication of
this research is that @hayfa.academy's Instagram content can be an alternative to madrasah
student textbooks for online Arabic learning.
